COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Focus on the Family will host a community Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, December 7. The recently planted 30-foot-tall tree is Focus’ gift to the Briargate community that will serve as a public reminder of the joy of the season.
“The Christmas season can race by in a blur. My hope is that when our community members see this brightly lit tree and Nativity scene they slow down and reflect on the hope and promise of this special season,” Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family said.
The tree is located on the front lawn of the Focus on the Family campus at 8605 Explorer Drive. At Tuesday’s lighting, The Classical Academy’s (TCA) brass ensemble will perform, a local glee club will sing, hot chocolate and cookies will be served, a new creche will be dedicated, and characters from Adventures in Odyssey will be attendance.
WHEN: Tuesday, December 7 at 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Focus on the Family campus at 8605 Explorer Drive
