Matthew Parker’s Decoder #2012-11

Think you have November’s code licked? Here it is again:

Matthew Parker's Decoder -- Nov 2012

This month’s secret message answers the question: “What does God give us when we ask?”

How It Works:

To bust this code, read the number on each cone. Then use the decoder to figure out what letter it represents. If it’s a single-scoop cone, choose a letter from the bottom row. If it’s a double-scoop cone, choose a letter from the middle row. And if it’s a triple-scoop cone, choose a letter from the top row.

Coolness!

Ever had a “brain freeze”—a quick headache from eating ice cream too fast? Scientists still aren’t sure what causes brain freezes, but they have a couple of ideas. One theory is that the sudden cold in your mouth increases blood flow to the front of your brain, causing pressure that your brain interprets as pain. The other theory is that the widespread cold strikes nerves across the top of your mouth that “misfire” to the brain as pain.

Either way, brain freezes are nothing to be concerned about. They go away in about 60 (very long!) seconds.
