Matthew Parker’s Decoder #2012-5

Did you see all those silly words in the May issue? If you missed them, here’s the secret message again:

Eway ouldshay utpay othersway irstfay.

How does that gibberish help you understand what the apostle Paul says about cooperation? Well, if you are fluent in Pig Latin, then you can find out!

How It Works:

Pig Latin is one of the silliest codes that you can say. To speak in Pig Latin or understand it, just follow these two rules:

1. If a word begins with a consonant, move the very first consonant sound to the end of the word. Then add “ay.”

2. If a word begins with a vowel or sounds like a vowel, simply add “way” or “hay” to the end of the word.

Coolness!

A can of soda often contains nearly 40 grams of sugar! Since there are two grams of sugar in most sugar packets, when you drink a can of soda, it’s like throwing at least 20 packets of sugar down your throat. Now that’s pigging out!
