David Faber is a World War II Holocaust survivor who was held prisoner in nine concentration camps in Nazi-occupied Germany and Poland. When he was liberated from Bergen-Belsen on April 15, 1945, he was 18 years old and only weighed 72 pounds. Today, Faber is an award-winning educator and lecturer on the Holocaust. He has also authored a book about his experiences titled Because of Romek. David resides in San Diego, Calif., with his wife, Lina, who is also a Holocaust survivor.
