Church Group Wants to Start an Adoption Ministry

couple holding blow up world ball, hands in heart around counrty

What does our church need to know before launching an adoption ministry? What’s involved in tackling a project like this? Can you suggest any resources?

We want to commend you and your fellow church members on your desire to become more actively involved in reaching out to orphans. As we’ve developed our Wait No More® Foster Care and Adoption Program, it’s become obvious to us that church support can be extremely helpful to families who are adopting.

Even a small group within the congregation can provide a wide variety of resources and services — financial assistance, meals, toys, clothes, childcare, etc. And there are a number of ways that churches can reach out directly to children in the foster care system by working through their state or a local placement agency.
