Mentors and mentees should schedule time each week to read through lessons and prepare for weekly meetings.

Mentor Planning Time

  • Weekly Time Commitment: 3-5 hours (including 2 hour weekly meeting)
  • Planning Time Includes: Reading each week’s lesson, answering self-reflection questions, and praying for your mentee couple.
  • Meeting Time Includes: Reviewing each week’s lesson with your mentee, discussing self-reflection questions, listening to your mentee’s questions, and praying together.
  • Additional Weekly Reading: We encourage Marriage 911 mentors to spend time daily reading a chapter of the book of Proverbs (match the chapter to the date).

Mentee Planning Time

  • Weekly Time Commitment: 5-7 hours (including 2 hour weekly meeting and the weekly Relationship Recharge (date night) with their spouse.
  • Preparation Time Includes: Reading each week’s lesson and answering self-reflection questions.
  • Meeting Time Includes: Reviewing each week’s lesson with your mentor, discussing self-reflection questions, and discussing how the lesson applies to your relationship with your spouse.
  • Relationship Recharge: Schedule time with your spouse for each week’s Relationship Recharge (date night.)
