From heartbroken to hope because of you!
After all the lies and arguments, Kevin and Olivia could barely look at each other when they checked in at the Hope Restored marriage intensive.
“We arrived broken,” they admitted. Can’t you feel the pain in those words?
It is only through your kindness that couples like Kevin and Olivia have a chance to save their marriage through our Hope Restored program.
Thank you for supporting marriage intensives — multiple-day experiences that help couples face their pain and learn biblical tools for healing. Caring staff and qualified counselors gently walk with hurting couples along the journey at one of our five beautiful locations.
Kevin and Olivia shared, “This was a last chance to turn our marriage around.”
The good news is that your generosity made a difference for Kevin and Olivia. After attending Hope Restored, they wrote, “God worked miracles! We have a long road of healing ahead, but we have the tools to succeed. There is hope.”

Jim's Heart
Hello from Focus on the Family! I hope you’re having a wonderful spring and looking forward to all that the summer has in store. Even as some families wrap up the school year, plan vacations, and anticipate a slower pace for a few months, I know there are many folks who are simply trying to stay afloat. Some are dealing with financial hardship, others are grieving the loss of a loved one, and still others are facing the heartache of a prodigal child or the stress of chronic illness. For all these challenges and many more, you are standing in the gap by providing Christ-centered help and advice.
One of the most common issues you help address relates to marital conflict. Some concerns include communication struggles, disagreements surrounding finances, the adjustments encountered by newlywed couples, tension with in-laws, divorce and remarriage, infidelity, abuse, infertility, and many other marriage-related topics. Some husbands and wives simply need a marriage “tune-up,” while others find themselves on the brink of divorce.
Praise God for friends like you who help couples facing all these circumstances and then some. And when the marriage has reached a point of crisis, your kind support ensures couples get the help they need at a Hope Restored marriage intensive.
Hope Restored is a highly effective counseling program you make possible for couples whose marriages are in deep waters. Thank you for allowing the Lord to work through you to get Hope Restored sites up and running in Missouri, Georgia, Michigan, and Texas, with a fifth site scheduled to open in Arizona sometime this fall. You are pushing us closer to the goal of a Hope Restored facility within driving distance of every couple in the continental U.S.
God cares deeply about marriage, and I know you do as well. He is working through your generosity to bring healing to marriages, like this one …
After 12 years of marriage and trying everything we knew to do, I gave up. I’d consulted a lawyer, and this was our last hope. Our pastor recommended this place, but I still came with a lot of anger and bitterness. My husband had no choice but to come; it was one of the conditions of the last threads between us. Everyone talked of a miracle that was expected; I wasn’t sure. But as I opened myself up to the Holy Spirit and allowed God to bring healing through forgiveness, we began to see God change our story. Yes, God is in this place. Yes, God is using the people here — from the cooks, servers, host couples, and counselors — to work in hurting relationships. To God be the glory. –Hope Restored participant
What amazing examples of the work God is doing to bring healing and reconciliation to desperate couples! We serve a Redeemer whose resurrecting power has raised the dead to life; why should it surprise us that He is able to breathe new life into broken marriages?
Can I ask you to pray for troubled marriages who arrive at Hope Restored marriage intensives? Not only does your work carry implications for the overall well-being of individuals and families, but it also impacts the health of society as a whole. What’s more, God has told us again and again in His Word that he places a high value on marriage. Hebrews 13:4 exhorts us, “Let marriage be held in honor among all…” Thank you for aligning your heart with His — to advocate for marriage.
